Party Runs with Non-Guild Members
(Low to Mid lvl Instances):
1. If a Kiwi is the party leader, then please make yourself Master Looter just BEFORE you take on named/bosses. This will help prevent Ninja Looting from random players. Remember to give items to those who win the /random roll immediately. You can do this by left clicking on the item, then clicking on the name of the winner. The item will immediately go into their bags.
2. BoE items are Free For All, unless otherwise stated. This means all can roll on armour, weapons, rings, trinkets, etc.
3. Schematics/Patterns etc are considered Roll on NEED ONLY. For example, if you're not an engineer, then please don't roll on engineering schematics. It's rude, and greedy to boot.
4. BoP items - these are considered Roll on NEED ONLY also. Example : If a cloth piece drops, you're a cloth wearer, and it's an upgrade, by all means, roll on it. If you're not, then don't. BoP rules differ depending on what the party agrees on. Some may ask that you pass and reroll (/random 100) for the item, others may just ask those who don't need to pass. A good idea if no one needs the item, is to give it to the enchanter (provided you have one in the party), get them to disenchant the BoP, and roll for the resulting dust or shard.
Party Runs with Non-Guild Members:
(High lvl Instances)
1. If the party agrees, then ML the entire run. All BoE items can be saved to roll on at the end of the run, which saves time.
2. Epic items are a tough one. I'd hope that if a BoP epic item dropped, those that were best suited to the item would be the only ones to roll on it. BoE items I would like to see become NEED first, with an instant equip upon winning the epic. I know others will disagree with me on this point as they claim need for cash. As a premature response to that, I say what's needed more? An epic mount with a slight speed increase that looks cool? Or a player getting a signifcant +stats boost, that'll be ever grateful to you for being the bigger player?
Addressing the "1 blue + 1 set item/Epic" Rule:
If a BoP epic drops, and a player wins it on the need principle, then why punish them by not allowing them a chance to roll for blues and set items? If a member of my party wins an epic, I still allow them to roll for other items (e.g sameu winning his axe of the deep woods on a run I ML'd).
1 blue + 1 set item, I'm not sure about. If others have the item already, you've already got your quota, and that item drop is an item for you, I'd let you roll. Likewise, if there's only one person of that class for the set item there, then obviously I'd give it to them as an upgrade. If they already had it, then I'd let others roll for upgrade, or the resulting DE.
Guild Runs:
You'll have to figure out the appropriate run rules amongst yourselves. I trust all Kiwis to hold to the Need > Greed principle.
Note - When Orphz runs a Kiwi run, he will always ML the bosses. Preference will always be given to those who will most benefit from the item drops. To head off any sore points about this, think :
Felstriker dropped from a rend run. Now I know some might not have been happy about it, but the dagger went to Genewx. He out of all the raid members benefited from it most, and he is a dagger rogue. Orphz will always put need over greed, no matter what. So like it or lump it, ladies and gentlemen.
.."and that's all I have to say about that."
