ASKING for your thoughts on this DKP system ?

I was thinking along the lines of 10 points per MC boss and Onyxia and 15 points each for Azuregos and Lord Kazzak. I would also like to give half a point per guild UBRS or LBRS run that kills the final boss in those instances to encourage high levels to help each other a bit more and to get the guild more items for up and comers. Thoughts........... please ?

(P.S. DKP's are points used to bid on end game loot.)

For DKP,

I was in Insurrection guild, they use DKP for MC run, and Highest DKP player will win the items, even that player only wanna sale it. and that is why I quit that guild, because I can hardly to win an items since there r already a lot of old guild member. after two weeks since I leave, their guild has been disorganized, everyone began to leave that guild.

I got an idea for our MC run. we can also use dkp systems to record how many point we get, and if an epic item dropped, leader decide it worth how many points, if u get enough point and u going to use the item, then type /roll for it, winner's dkp points will be reduced.

And I agree orph's idea for dkp earning, but it is better only for 40 men raid. For 10 or 15 men raid, it should not be considered as a dkp earning instance.

I like the idea of awarding points for instances that can help the guild. We need to do more LBRS runs to get more UBRS keys for example. And the Onyxia key involves doin many instance runs from what i've read!

As far as the points go, the system should only be used to decide who gets an item amongst people who NEED that item. Only people who need it should get it, but people who have done more runs will obviously be rewarded by the system.

Yeah. I don't think people should be able to roll on items they can't use. It's like the need before greed loot rule. Say if some epic rogue armour drops for a rogue yet there is a warrior who wants it for money then the rogue may get annoyed and not want to do any runs for a while which will overall detract from the possibility of getting any good items. Everyone here musy know how it feels when you've been playing a game, almost got to the end of the level with 1 life and then just die

Here's my take and I need the input from those of you who have already done Onyxia, MC, Kazzak raids to keep me informed.

I don't have the time or patience for 5+ hour-long raids, most days of the week. Even if I do have time, I typically don't care enough for this game to sit through a 5+ hour raid. UBRS has taken 3.5 hours several times and that has had me on the edge of my seat from dropping out of the raid. Therefore, I need to know how long an MC or Onyxia raid takes.

Once I know that, I can give you a better informed opinion about DKPs.

Well the whole thing totaly confuses me really but Im pritty sure I get it. I totaly agree with Eda I think In the not to distant future when we can pritty casualy do High lvl raid instances when people like me hit 60, I think just the need or greed system would work, considering they would be guild-orented groups. It should be that groups decision on who gets the item. - well thats just my two cents on the matter.

I'm totally against any sort of point system for any instance run or raid boss. As far as I'm concerned the normal loot rules that Kiwis follow are totally fair and adequate.

As a casual player who will only rarely have the time to do a MC run, there is no way I would do it if I don't have the same chance as everyone else to get the loot. Much better to pvp or a shorter instance.

Players who do alot of runs will naturally have a higher chance at loot since they will be there more often!

I know a lot of people disagree with me, but that's my 2c worth.

I agree. For people who can only get on WoW a few times a week then it will be completely unfair to them. They might as well not even bother with high level instances as they will have no chance of getting any items. I think people within the class best suited for the equipment should discuss then the remaining people should /roll for the item. This means it doesn't matter whether you play every day or only a few times during the week, you will still have the chance to get the item. If you decide to do MC runs every second day then that's your choice. It shouldn't detract from the possibility of casual players being able to get their fair share of items. They do the work too.

For what it's worth, I agree that we should just use the normal Kiwi loot rules. It's just more simple, and makes it easier to include ppl from other guilds if need extras to make up the numbers.
